I'm calling BS, I haven't even played the game but I can already tell that the change is purely cosmetic, memory editors never change server sided content, like money. The second you try to spend more money than what is actually on the server I will guarantee that it will catch it, why do you think he didn't bother showing himself using more money than he had.

What you can do however is hack anything that isn't server sided, basically, if the server doesn't save it to where you can come back to it after logging out and shutting down your computer then it is not server sided, however, if you can go to a public place and use their computer to use the stuff you want to change, you are SOL.
