How to Score 1180 points on the Facebook Snake game

Even if you haven't heard of Facebook's new game "Snake" before, you've probably played it at one point or another on your cell phone or computer.

The idea is that a snake - at first one dot, then many in a slithering string - swirls around your screen, trying to eat the red apple. You guide it towards the apple, and the game gets harder by going faster and making your snake longer.
